Eddie Murphy and girlfriend Paige Butcher’s new baby is NOT ruining their relationship, despite a bogus tabloid report. Extreme Entertainment can correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
Murphy and Butcher welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Izzy Oona, in early May. The actor-comedian and model have been dating since 2012, but according to Star, their new bundle of joy is putting a strain on their romance. “The fact that Eddie’s been spending his nights at another one of his homes in L.A. doesn’t bode well,” says the tabloid’s so-called “source.”
The magazine then quotes a supposed “eyewitness” as claiming to have recently spotted Butcher looking “downcast” at a coffee shop, adding, “Paige’s parents were very concerned and they kept asking her if she was OK. Something seemed up.” Here’s what’s up. Murphy and Butcher’s relationship is going strong, and the outlet’s claim otherwise is completely fabricated.
Extreme Entertainment checked in with a source close to the couple, who assures us that the new parents are very happy, and their baby girl has only strengthened their relationship. We’re told that the magazine’s story is simply “not true.”
Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the publication’s made-up tale. In July 2014, Extreme Entertainment corrected Star for falsely reporting that Butcher was expecting a child and forcing Murphy to marry her. Of course, the model didn’t get pregnant until 13 months later in August 2015, and the two aren’t currently married. The tabloid’s latest claim about trouble in the couple’s relationship is similarly untrue.
