Gay Men’s Chorus Orlando Tribute Performance – Watch “GMA” Video

The New York City Gay Men’s Chorus performed a moving tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting on Monday’s “Good Morning America.” Watch below.
As Extreme Entertainment has reported, ISIS supporter Omar Mateen opened fire inside the gay nightclub Pulse early Sunday morning. Fifty people, including the gunman, were left dead, while dozens more were injured. The tragic massacre was the biggest mass shooting in U.S. history. And while it was a domestic terrorist attack on all Americans, it was also an assault against the gay community.
In recognition of that, “GMA” invited the Gay Men’s Chorus to Times Square for a performance in honor of all those affected by the tragedy. The group sang “Light” from Next To Normal, which features the lyrics, “When we open up our light/Sons and daughters, husbands, wives/Can fight that fight.” Additional lines include, “Day after day/We’ll find the will to find our way/Knowing that the darkest skies will someday see the sun.”
As the performance went on, “GMA” also broadcast photos from the memorials and vigils that were held in the wake of the shooting. Additional music tributes so far have included Adele, who broke down while performing in Antwerp. Check out the full video of the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus performing below.
