Celebrities React: Alexis Arquette Dead At 47

Alexis Arquette died Sunday at the age of 47, and celebrities are now reacting and paying tribute to the transgender actress. See stars’ tweets below.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, Alexis’s brother, Richmond, revealed the sad news in a Facebook post early Sunday morning. The entire Arquette family later released a statement expressing grief for their loss, but also gratitude “for the grace and kindness we were all shown during this difficult time.” The family’s statement also celebrated Alexis’s life and saluted her bravery for living as a transgender woman. A cause of death was not given.
In addition to the family’s official statement, Alexis’s brother, David Arquette, tweeted, “Thank you all for your love and kind words about Alexis. My hero for eternity.” Her sister,Patricia Arquette, posted a YouTube link to listen to David Bowie’s “Starman,” which was said to be the song the family played for Alexis as she passed. “Breaking through the veil singing ‘StarMan,” Patricia wrote.
Meanwhile, Alexis’s former sister-in-law, Courteney Cox, expressed, “My heart goes out to anyone who was lucky enough to know Alexis. We will love and miss you forever.”Roseanne Barr posted a picture of Alexis backstage at her 1999 talk show, and added, “hail hail a vagenius has vacated this realm! RIP Alexis Arquette.” And Boy George said, “R.I.P my sister Alexis Arquette. Another bright light gone out far too soon. Love to the family and all that loved Alexis.”
Along with emojis of hearts and flowers, Emilie de Ravin offered, “Sending bunches of love to the Arquette family and friends… #RIP #AlexisArquette.” Morgan Fairchild tweeted, “So sorry to hear this! I worked w Alexis on ‘Friends’ -she was lovely & such fun! Condolences to family.” And fellow transgender actress Candis Cayne wrote, “So sorry to [hear] about Alexis RIP gorgeous my heart goes out to all her family and sister family xoxo.”
