Linkin Bridge performed “See You Again” during Tuesday’s “America’s Got Talent” finals for season 11. Watch below!
As Extreme Entertainment has reported, Linkin Bridge consists of four tough-looking guys from Kentucky. The group shocked during its audition when their rough demeanor gave way to a stunningly beautiful performance of “Over The Rainbow.” Another impressive performance led the group through Judge Cuts and into the quarterfinals.
It was then, however, that Simon Cowell thought the act made a misstep by choosing “Always On My Mind.” Linkin Bridge ended up in jeopardy, but was saved from elimination by Cowell, Howie Mandel and Mel B. Thankfully, they went on to make a huge comeback with a rousing take on Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” during last week’s semifinals.
That earned the group a place in tonight’s finals, competing against nine other acts for the $1 million prize. And for their last chance to win over America, Linkin Bridge performed Charlie Puth’s “See You Again.” For the first time, the guys were packed by a chorus to bring the song to a soaring end.
The judges all gave a standing ovation, with Heidi Klum saying afterward, “You sang your way into my heart and I also think into America’s heart. What a great song choice, by the way, because you have come a long way.” She added that no matter what happens, we’ll “see you again.”
Simon Cowell told the group, “I absolutely loved that — beginning, middle and end, everything about it.” He also praised the men for bringing “heart to this show.” And he added, “After tonight, you’ve got a real shot with that performance.”
Howie Mandel commented, “The songs you choose, the vocals you sing, even the name — you are a linking bridge, from where you come from into the hearts of America.” And Mel B said, “You get better and better… I wish you all the best, and I really do hope people vote for you.” Check out the video below!
