Thomas Brodnicki’s freedom didn’t last long. He was released from jail on Wednesday after a judge ruled there was insufficient evidence to try him on attempting to harm Selena Gomez (despite telling his therapist God had ordered him to kill Selena and visiting her workplace several times).
Yesterday, police took Thomas to the hospital under a 5150 psychiatrichold. A law enforcement official explained:
“Thomas Brodnicki has been taken to a hospital for mental evaluation. We want to place him in a conservatorship and then send him back to mental health officials in Illinois where he resides.”
Earlier in the day Thomas told TMZ:
“I’m very anti-material … I don’t like even touching anything that isn’t Selena Gomez. Selena Gomez and I are the holy chosen ones of God. I’m not overly concerned if I meet (Selena) in the flesh because it may be like scripture says … ‘No man has seen the face of God’ … Maybe us being together is too much like seeing the face of God.”
Goodness. This is both scary and sad.
