Robert Pattinson Friendly & Humble In NYC, Doesn’t Spend Extravagantly

Even though the star made $25 million last year, he’s sweet, humble and down-to-earth buying affordable finds and vintage clothes instead of flashy items — find out all about his shopping trip in NYC and see what he bought!

Most young stars with a lot of money like to splurge on fast cars, flashy jewelry and extravagant items, but not Robert Pattinson! He might have made millions in 2011, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s super humble, a sales clerk at Assembly who helped the star shop in NYC on Mar. 1 exclusively told HollywoodLife.com.
He was “friendly” while he shopped, the clerk said. Although he said he was only in NYC for one day on business, he still managed to fit in some retail therapy. “He mentioned that stores in LA are very expensive. He shopped for about an hour, looking exclusively at the men’s clothing, while a car waited for him outside.” In fact, since Rob came in sans entourage and was so polite and down-to-earth she didn’t even recognize him! “I didn’t realize it was him at first,” she said.
Rob scooped up a backpack, boots, pants and a couple of button-down shirts that totally fit in with his stylish yet effortless look — and practically all the items were priced at under $200! It seems like he was super happy with his purchases, carrying his brand-new bag through JFK the very next day when he jetted off to Paris to see his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart!
