Rap Star Plan B Unveils Screen Debut
Ben Drew, already a big-selling hip-hop artist in his native U.K. under the namePlan B, is tasting life as a filmmaker and up-and-coming movie star. Drew landed in Cannes to a whirlwind of press to support his directorial debut Ill Manors, a film he wrote and directed, which is currently playing to buyers in the Marche du Film.
Cannes Buzzes Over Weak Battleship
It's the overseas boxoffice to the rescue once again. As word of Battleship’s potentially disastrous domestic debut spread Saturday up and down the Croisette, sales agents and distributors from around the globe said the movie’s solid run in foreign markets underscores how much of a lifeline the international box oce has become.
Lullaby Names Cast
Artist Andrew Levitas has found an eclectic cast for the comedy-drama LullabyGarrett Hedlund, Richard Jenkins, Jessica Brown FindlayJennifer Hudson,Terrence Howard and Amy Adams are set to star in the film, which Mimi Steinbauer’s Radiant Films International is shopping to foreign buyers at the Cannes Film market.
