Christian Bale has released a statement in response to Friday’smass shooting at a Colorado theater showing the film in which he stars, The Dark Knight Rises.
On Saturday, the actor said, “Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”
His reaction is the latest in a wave of reactions to the tragedy, which claimed 12 lives and left dozens more injured.
Late Friday, Bale’s director,Christopher Nolan, expressed his own grief and pain, calling the attack “unbearably savage.”
