“Getting unpredictable Lindsay Lohan to do a cameo role in Scary Movie 5 has been a frightening experience for producers as she tried to avoid a scene making fun of her troubles,” claims the New York Post.
According to the paper, “over the past two weeks — as the date for filming approached — Lohan disappeared, blew off rehearsals, missed her flight to the set and even bizarrely claimed she had walking pneumonia.”
The starlet allegedly “‘freaked out’ after seeing the script was poking fun at her,’” the New York Postreports, going on to quote a “source” as saying, “It went pretty hard at Lindsay.”
For that reason, a “Hollywood insider” tells the paper, “Lindsay missed every meeting she had for the film, including script reads and wardrobe meetings.”
“Then she missed her flight to Atlanta on Sunday to shoot the movie,” the “source” continues. “The producers had been getting signs Friday that she was a mess, and would not be fit to work.”
Another supposed insider alleges that Lohan was so desperate to get out of the movie, she went to the hospital and later claimed to have walking pneumonia.
“She is under contract — so to get out of it, she had to prove that she was sick,” says the “source.”
Lohan, meanwhile, has been “locked up in her room” in New York’s Bowery Hotel, claims a different “source,” who adds, “She’s been in a tailspin. Even [co-star] Charlie Sheenworried she might not be able to do the scene.”
Let’s get this straight.
Lohan refused to do a highly-anticipated cameo all because she didn’t want to poke fun at herself?
Why would the actress, who repeatedly mocked her trials and tribulations when she hosted “SNL” in March, all of a sudden be shy about doing pretty much the same thing?
Regardless, a rep for Lohan insists that she “is willingly fulfilling all of her obligations,” and the paper’s claims are all “untrue.”
