Jenna Dewan doesn’t mind her husband Channing Tatum playing a stripper inMagic Mike XXL, but he does have to get her approval for the sexy, nearly nude dance moves he does — well before audiences get to see him gyrating onscreen in a thong.
Tatum says his wife “loves”Magic Magic and is excited about the sequel, shooting now in Savannah, because she understands the movies are a part of who he is, having been based on his real-life experiences as a stripper in Florida several years ago. “It’s just a part of me telling some part of my life,” he tells People, noting all the hot dance moves are first presented to “Jenna for approval” before they’re filmed.
Despite tabloids rumors of marital issues, Dewan and Tatum enjoy a happily married life together. The couple wed in 2009, and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Everly in May 2013.
