Ever sinceSelena Gomezpointed out thatHollywoodLifenever tells the truth about her, the already disreputable webloid has been on a rampage, posting false story after false story about the singer-actress, and using every opportunity to sensationalize her on-and-off status withJustin Bieber. As Extreme Entertainment has repeatedly observed, HollywoodLife is not nearly as mature as Gomez, Bieber, and the other young stars it covers. And on Saturday, the site proved it again.
After Kylie Jenner posted an Instagram pic in which she, sister Kendall and Bieber are seen celebrating their mutual friends’ birthdays, HollywoodLife did what it always does and tried to fabricate controversy, asking whether Bieber is “taunting Selena Gomez?”
“Justin Bieber is back at his old ways!” shrieks the site. “His so-called spiritual retreat led him straight to Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Is he trying to rile up Selena Gomez right before her big AMAs performance?” HollywoodLife adds, “Man, once Selena sees this, she is not going to be happy.”
For the thousandth time: Not everything Justin Bieber does is about Selena Gomez. And not everything Selena Gomez does is about Justin Bieber. Their actions are independent. Bieber is allowed to hang out with the Jenners without it being a bid to make Gomez jealous. And Gomez can see these pictures and not immediately run back into Bieber’s arms.
They’re grown-ups. HollywoodLife is written for children. That’s the problem. It’s why the site keeps trying to fuel middle-school level rumors about Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, and Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and every other set of exes in Hollywood. Enough already.
