Lady Gaga Oscars Video: Watch Sound of Music Tribute Performance!

Lady Gaga performed a special tribute toThe Sound of Music at the Oscars on Sunday. The 2015 Academy Awards were marking the 50th anniversary of the beloved musical, and enlisted Gaga to commemorate the occasion. Watch the video below.
Gaga sang a medley of “The Hills Are Alive,” “My Favorite Things” and “Climb Every Mountain” from the landmark musical. Her emotional performance went over very well in the Dolby Theatre and on Twitter, where Jesse Tyler Ferguson declared, “I fully support a revival of Sound of Music with Lady Gaga.”
She earned a standing ovation from an appreciative Oscars crowd, who stayed on their feet when the movie’s star Julie Andrews came out on stage. Andrews said Gaga’s performance “warmed her heart,” and expressed amazement that 50 years have passed since the release of The Sound of Music. “How lucky can a girl get?” Andrews said of her experience working on the movie.
