HollywoodLife is at it again. The site, which seems to write as many baseless stories as it can about Justin Bieber andSelena Gomez in order to exploit their fans for advertising revenue, spent most of the weekend sensationalizing Bieber’s 21st birthday celebration while reporting on Gomez’s new relationship with Zedd. Of course, a flip-flop was coming.
Late on Sunday and then again on Monday, HollywoodLife showed its true colors. After countless stories about how great things are going between Gomez and Zedd, and an “exclusive” about how Gomez didn’t mind that she wasn’t invited to Bieber’s party, the blog alleged that she’d posted an Instagram picture in order to make Bieber “jealous on his birthday.”
Gomez’s “sexy photo,” as HollywoodLife calls it, shows the singer-actress sitting on a bed. There’s nothing salacious about it. Here’s Gomez’s caption: “Always waiting on someone (meaning my friends who take too long to get ready).” In other words, this has absolutely nothing to do with Justin Bieber.
HollywoodLife doesn’t see it that way. The webloid declares, “The ‘I Want You To Know’ singer definitely wanted Justin to know what he’s been missing lately, even on his 21st birthday!” HollywoodLife explains, “Selena’s March 1 Instagram pic was one heck of a birthday tease for Justin. The singer hadn’t posted on the social media site for days but made sure she shared a hot photo on her ex’s big day.”
No. NO. This has NOTHING TO DO with Bieber. She was waiting for her friends to get ready, and she posted a picture on Instagram. That’s it. There’s no teasing, no jealousy, no head games, NOTHING. This is just an example of a media outlet looking for any excuse to link Bieber and Gomez’s names in a sensational headline. Extreme Entertainment is getting sick of it.
