Taylor Swift has been tapped by Jaime King to be the godmother of her second child. The two women shared the news on Instagram with a couple of sweet photos, including one of Swift touching King’s bare pregnant belly. The singer captioned the photo, “Guess who just got named Godmother of this little one….. (ME).”
King, who’s married to filmmaker Kyle Newman and has been friends with Swift for a number of years, also posted a photo on Instagram of the singer standing behind her and pulling up her T-shirt to reveal her baby bump. King accompanied her picture with the message, “And @taylorswift will forever be looking over our new baby @kyle_newman -we all love you!!!! Xx”
King announced she was expecting her second baby last month. After five previous miscarriages, the star of the CW series “Hart of Dixie” gave birth to her first child, James, nearly 17 months ago. Little James also has a couple of celebrity godparents, namely Jessica Alba and Topher Grace.
While Swift, who recently said she’ll still be single for a number of more years, won’t be having kids anytime soon, you can bet she’ll spoil her godchild with gifts. The singer, known for buying presents to her fans, recently told The Telegraph, “If I go a week without sending something, I start to feel sad.” So, do you think Swift will be a good godmother?
