Ryan Adams “Bad Blood” — Listen To Taylor Swift Cover From New “1989” Album

Ryan Adams premiered his full cover of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” on Thursday, and announced his 1989 album will be released in just a few days.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, Adams first revealed he was re-creating Swift’s record-breaking album in August. The singer shared a snippet of his take on “Welcome To New York,” and has periodically dropped other song teasers. Swift has repeatedly expressed enthusiastic approval of the project, and now that it’s really coming to fruition, she’s lost her chill again.
Adams first revealed the album cover art on Instagram and announced, “Ok here it is! 1989!” Swift responded by tweeting the photo, and sharing her own countdown until the midnight Monday release. “Ryan’s music helped shape my songwriting,” wrote Swift. “This is surreal and dreamlike.”
On Instagram, Swift was more short and to the point. “Oh. MY. GOD. 9/21,” the superstar captioned a shot of the cover image. It seems fans are excited, too, as the post garnered nearly 400,000 likes in just an hour’s time. As for Adam’s reinvention of “Bad Blood,” it definitely sounds little like Swift’s original version.
Whether that’s a good thing, though, is up for debate. Listen below, and tell us what you think. Are you looking forward to Adams’ other 1989 covers?
