Ariana Grande kisses Liz Gillies in a video “accidentally” posted on Instagram. Watch below.
Grande and Gillies have a long friendship going back to when they co-starred together in the musical 13 on Broadway. They then both starred on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious,” before Grande led the spinoff “Sam & Cat.” Gillies currently stars on the FX series “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.”
The former co-stars apparently had a reunion late Monday that involved locking lips. In a video Grande shared on Instagram, Gillies fixes her hair and tells Grande “it has to be pretty” before counting to three. Grande puckers up, and they smooch.
The pop star can’t stop laughing afterwards, and even fans herself. No explanation is given for why the one-time colleagues decided to share a peck. Grande wrote in the Instagram caption, “my favorite video of all time @lizgill (p.s. this was totally posted by accident).”
She also explained on Twitter, “I WAS EDITING IT IN INSTA TO SEND TO HER AND IT POSTED ACCIDENTALLY BUT ITS GREAT SO WHATEVER.” Grande further wrote to her longtime pal, “forever in love with you my pringus @LizGillies… HAHHAHAHA @LIZGILLIES OOPS.”
Fans were pretty taken aback by the clip, leading “Ariana and Liz” to become a trending topic. “when ur close with ur best friend,” one person commented on the video. “great to see you 2 together,” remarked another follower. Over on Twitter, one fan even exclaimed, “im still in shock from ariana and liz kissing I WASNT READY.”
For her part, Gillies didn’t mind the posting. “HAHAHA. THAT GEM,” she wrote to Grande on Twitter amid celebrating it being seven years since 13 opened. Check out the video below, and tell us what you think.
