Victoria and David Beckham are not trying for a fifth child, despite a new tabloid report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively correct the claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to the Daily Mail, the two “want baby number five,” and are “preparing for another pregnancy.” The tabloid claims 42-year-old Victoria even told a friend she’s “boosted her already spinach-heavy diet with broccoli and leafy greens rich in folic acid.” The paper further declares, “Victoria is ready to join the ‘just one last baby’ club of the rich and famous.” “David has been keen on a fifth since daughter Harper was born in 2011,” adds the outlet.
After that, the tabloid has absolutely nothing else to offer. Instead, it fills its space noting how Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver and their 41-year-old wives are expecting their fifth children, and that David recently refereed a soccer match for his son Cruz’s dream in London.
The “fifth child” claim, of course, is all coming from the same publication that David slammed last summer for criticizing the Beckhams’ parenting skills for letting their then-4-year-old daughter Harper use a pacifier. As Extreme Entertainment reported, along with a screengrab of the Daily Mail article, David wrote, “Everyone who has children knows that when they aren’t feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it’s a pacifier.” He further warned that people should “think twice about what you say about other people’s children because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent.”
In any event, Victoria and David Beckham are not preparing for a fifth child, as wrongly reported by the British tabloid. A source close to the couple assures Extreme Entertainment the latest claim is “not true.”
