Blake Shelton performed “Savior’s Shadow” on the 2016 “Red Nose Day Special” on Thursday. Watch below!
As Extreme Entertainment has reported, the “Red Nose Day Special” is a telethon that raises money for and awareness of children living in poverty in the U.S. and around the globe. While Red Nose Day began in the U.K. 25 years ago, the campaign is only in its second year here in America. And NBC is once again hosting the star-studded TV broadcast.
In addition to Shelton’s performance, longtime Red Nose Day supporter Elton John also signed on to provide musical entertainment. Along with Paul Shaffer’s “Red Nose Orchestra,” they added to the special’s blend of music, comedy and short films spotlighting communities and kids in need. And Shelton opted to sing the moving “Savior’s Shadow,” an inspirational song from his new album, If I’m Honest.
The record came out last Friday, and Shelton has been making a number of appearances to promote it. He was featured on the “Today” show twice in the last week, as well as on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” The country superstar also performed one of the new tracks on “The Voice” season finale on Tuesday.
