George Clooney And Amal Fighting In Cannes Story Is NOT True

George Clooney and Amal were not fighting in Cannes, despite a new and wholly inaccurate tabloid report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively correct the claim. We’re told it’s completely untrue.
According to the repeatedly disproven Star magazine, George and Amal had a “clash” at the Cannes Film Festival. After noting that George gave his wife a “hand as she walked up the stairs” at the festival, and was seen “planting a tender kiss on her cheek,” the tabloid writes that the movie star has “yet to receive an Oscar for Best Actor, but the picture perfect performance he and his wife, Amal, put on… is deserving of a nomination.” “Once inside [the festival], it was obvious to everyone there that George and Amal had been fighting all day,” says the outlet’s so-called “tipster.”
Let Extreme Entertainment briefly stop here and examine the tabloid’s claims. For starters, the magazine wants everyone to not believe that George’s displays of affection were real, but instead were a “performance.” However, the next sentence afterwards, the same befuddled outlet wants its readers to believe that away from the cameras, but in front of hundreds of other people, “it was obvious” the couple, despite their outward behavior, had been “fighting all day”? Additionally, the often discredited publication says George gave quite the “performance,” though he has “yet to receive an Oscar for Best Actor.” Actually, in 2005, he won an acting Oscar for his supporting role in the movie Syriana.
Getting back to the tabloid’s fabricated friction between George and Amal, the outlet’s same either clueless or possibly made-up source adds that the human rights lawyer had a “scowl” the whole time, and the two “barely said a word to each other” during the afterparty forMoney Monster at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. “It looked like George truly regretted bringing Amal out.”
Of course, this is all coming from the same tabloid that falsely reported exactly 365 days ago that Amal was a “gold digger” who was “using” George. It’s also the same mistaken magazine that claimed in December 2014 on a cover that George was “finally going to be a dad.” And there are far more fully concocted stories by Star that Extreme Entertainment has corrected.
Much like those manufactured accounts, the latest about Amal and George “fighting” at Cannes is wrong. A source close to the situation assures Extreme Entertainment the latest tabloid tale is entirely untrue. In fact, the couple was spotted happily together on Saturday in Rome.
