Gwen Stefani Did NOT Turn Down Blake Shelton’s Marriage Proposal, Despite Late And Wrong Report

Gwen Stefani did not turn down a marriage proposal from Blake Shelton, despite a late and wrong report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively correct this untrue story once again.
As Extreme Entertainment previously noted, Stefani did not reject a (nonexistent) marriage proposal from Shelton in which the country singer allegedly put a $1.2 million diamond engagement ring in a KFC bucket. We exclusively busted that claim nearly one week ago. It wasn’t true then, and it’s not true now.
Enter HollywoodLife, which published “Gwen turned down her country beau’s surprise proposal,” and “broke Blake Shelton’s heart!” The repeatedly discredited webloid adds in its latest piece of fiction that after Stefani found the enormous ring at the “bottom of a bucket of KFC fried chicken,” the No Doubt singer “didn’t give the reaction Blake was hoping for.” The inaccurate site then quotes a so-called “source” saying in very unnatural and expository language that part of Stefani’s rejection stems from her being “14 years older than Blake’s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert,” and her fearing “age will get in the way of long-term happiness.”
And while HollywoodLies took the time to editorialize, “That’s so sad! Poor Gwen!” it didn’t bother to spend one second fact-checking the entirely false report, which was originally published in last week’s National Enquirer and then regurgitated by its sister outlet RadarOnline. Instead, the webloid decided to further spread misinformation that had been previously proven wrong. Sadly, posting stories that are late and wrong have become a staple of the unreliable site
