Jennifer Aniston Mother Dies: Actress Nancy Dow Dead At 79

Jennifer Aniston’s mother, Nancy Dow, is dead. The veteran actress died on Wednesday at age 79.

Aniston says in a statement, “It is with great sadness that my brother John and I announce the passing of our mother Nancy Dow. She was 79 years old and passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends after enduring a long illness. We ask that our family’s privacy be respected as we grieve our loss.”

Dow was wed to Aniston’s father, “Days of Our Lives” actor John Aniston, from 1965 to 1980. Their now-famous daughter was born in 1969. While Aniston remains somewhat close to her dad, she and Dow were largely estranged over the last few years.

Aniston’s older brother John was born to Dow during her previous marriage to Jack Melnick. They were wed from 1956 to 1961. Aniston also has a younger brother, Alex, from her father’s second and current marriage to Sherry Rooney.

Dow is best known for appearances on the 1960s TV shows, “The Beverly Hillbillies” and “The Wild Wild West.” She mostly stopped acting in the decades afterward. Extreme Entertainment extends condolences to Aniston, her brother, and all of Dow’s loved ones.
