Katy Perry Twitter Hacked

Katy Perry’s Twitter account was hacked on Monday night. See screengrabs below.
At around 8:40 p.m. Eastern Time, a tweet was sent reading, “haha follow @sw4ylol #hackersgonnahack.” The user @sw4ylol is apparently based in Romania and only joined Twitter a few days ago. After the hack, the unidentified person sent a tweet on his or her own account reading, “Who TF is Katy Perry.”
On Perry’s account, additional tweets from the hacker followed, and they were highly questionable in content and taste. One message said, “otf gang n*gga!” Another stated, “miss u baby @taylorswift13.” And a different one said, “u a f*g @keemstar.”
@Keemstar is actually a blogger with more than 800,000 followers, and he seemed amused by the situation. Extreme Entertainment suspects that Perry would not share that reaction, given the vulgar nature of the tweets. The messages have since been deleted, but not before the were retweeted by some of the star’s 89 million followers.
Perry last tweeted for real about five hours before the hacking. She re-posted Hillary Clinton’s Memorial Day tweet, and added, “Yes! Thank you to the heroes we’ve lost and still serving! We appreciate you and honor you today!” Extreme Entertainment has reached out to the singer’s rep to alert her of the breach. If so inclined, see screengrabs below.
