“America’s Got Talent” season 11 premiered on Tuesday with Linkin’ Bridge stunning the judges with their tough demeanor but soft singing voices. Watch below!
The group grew up in a “rough” neighborhood in the “hip-hop era,” and now hoped to change the world. But they took the stage looking anything but enthusiastic. The four men gave vague answers and came across as disinterested.
And then they started to sing “Over The Rainbow” a capella. To call the panel surprised would be an understatement. And by the time they finished singing, Heidi Klum and Mel B were on their feet for a standing ovation.
“I wasn’t expecting that at all,” Mel B said afterward. “I’m actually a bit speechless. It was that good. Well done.”
Producer and new judge Simon Cowell said, “I thought the first half of the song was okay, and then when you picked it up in the middle and you slowed everything down and we heard your lead, it was sensational.”
“Really sensational,” he went on. “You know what? This could be your time now.” One of the members then became emotional, choking back tears at the positive response to the point where he couldn’t speak.
And Howie Mandel even gave a standing ovation as the men left the stage. Check out the full video below!
