Ben Affleck is NOT trying to reconcile with Jennifer Garner so he can save his fortune, despite a bogus webloid report.Extreme Entertainment can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it “couldn’t be further from the truth.”
According to RadarOnline, “greedy” Affleck is supposedly trying to get back together with his estranged wife for the sole purpose of avoiding paying spousal support. A so-called “source” tells the site, “Ben can’t afford to divorce. Now that Jen’s deal is on the table, he’s beginning to realize she’s going to leave him flat broke and there’s nothing he can do about it.”
The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to say, “The only solution he’s got to keeping his fortune is to patch things up with her.” Affleck will be forced to “start rebuilding his bank balance from scratch,” if Garner proceeds with the divorce, alleges the webloid’s misinformed or possibly manufactured source.
But Extreme Entertainment checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s claim “couldn’t be further from the truth.” We’re told “there’s real love and admiration” between the estranged spouses, but there are no plans to reunite. Extreme Entertainment is also told “they are both well off,” and a divorce certainly won’t cause Affleck to go “broke.”
Of course, we’re not particularly surprised by the webloid’s tall tale. Extreme Entertainment recently corrected RadarOnline for falsely claiming the pair was secretly hooking up and Garner had gotten pregnant with her and Affleck’s fourth child. The site’s latest report about the exes is equally untrue.
