According to Life & Style, Spears’ Las Vegas residency show, Piece of Me, has been taking a toll on her mental health, and the singer’s friends are supposedly worried about her well-being. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid that “the pressure to perform in Vegas is just too much for her,” further alleging that the singer has been “out of it” lately and was even caught talking to herself before a performance.
The magazine then goes on to claim Spears feels trapped by her Las Vegas gig, and is desperately trying to get out of her contract. “She recently said that her children have more freedom than she does,” adds the outlet’s dubious insider. But Extreme Entertainment checked in with a source close to Spears, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s “breakdown” tale is completely false. The singer is in a good place and enjoying her concert residency, and this is simply a non-story.
Of course, we’re not particularly surprised by the tabloid’s bogus claim, as this isn’t the first time Life & Style has concocted a phony story about the singer’s Las Vegas show. Extreme Entertainment previously busted the tabloid for falsely alleging that Spears was “irate” about Jennifer Lopez using the same stage for her All I Have residency. The magazine’s latest report about the situation is equally baseless.
