Justin Timberlake doing a Las Vegas residency? That’s the rumor coming out of Sin City. Extreme Entertainment investigated, and has the exclusive on whether it’s real or a rumor.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, “Discussions have started about Justin Timberlake agreeing to a residency” at the new, 5,000-seat theater at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. The paper claims the information comes from a “solid source close to the involved parties.” The outlet then editorializes that “it would be delicious if Justin, one-time and long-ago boyfriend of Britney Spears, was on the Strip at the same time as the pop princess, whose hit ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ is at nearby Axis at Planet Hollywood.”
Extreme Entertainment looked into this report, and we’ve exclusively learned from a source close to Timberlake that there’s “no truth to this story.” While Timberlake has performed in Las Vegas on many occasions, a residency at the Monte Carlo is not happening.
Interestingly, this is the second time in six weeks that publications have wrongly reported that Timberlake was going to do a show in Las Vegas. A little more than six weeks ago,Extreme Entertainment busted In Touch for absurdly reporting that Timberlake was joining Spears for “a series of concerts” at Planet Hollywood. That story was entirely untrue, and the latest tale about him possibly doing his own residency in Las Vegas is similarly false.
