Fans React: Lady Gaga Super Bowl Halftime Show Confirmed

Lady Gaga confirmed on Thursday that she is indeed performing at the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Now the singer’s “Little Monsters” are going crazy with excitement. Check out fans’ reaction tweets below!
As Extreme Entertainment reported, it was revealed Gaga was in talks to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this month. The negotiations came months after she sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl 50 back in February. Now Gaga has formally announced her new gig for next year’s Super Bowl LI.
“It’s not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA! @nfl @FOXTV @pepsi #PERFECTILLUSION #GAGASUPERBOWL,” she tweeted. The pop star also shared the official promo artwork seen above. The message caused a stir on social media immediately, with “#GAGASUPERBOWL” quickly becoming a trending topic.
@amyxtina exlaimed in all caps, “THIS WILL BE AN ICONIC HALF TIME PERFORMANCE EVER I’M READY.” @MonstersMillion tweeted, “I’v[e] been waiting for #GAGASUPERBOWL since i was 13 years old @ladygaga thanks, i luv u!” @gagamonster96 similar said, “I can’t believe after all those years of hoping and praying to see Gaga on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, it’s finally going to happen.”
“all i know is that gaga better bring out beyonce and finally perform “telephone” together during the halftime show,” wrote JOHNNYVERSAYCE. @iWant_Gaga proudly pointed out, “Lady Gaga has performed or will perform at the 3 Biggest Events in 2 consecutive years Grammys: 2015-16 Oscars: 2015-16 Super Bowl: 2016-17.” Referring to the performer’s upcoming album, @NYCLadyGaga excitedly noted, “The promo that Gaga is going to get is going to be insane. #JOANNE is going to be everywhere.” And @HausOfDylann commented, “If Gaga announces her World Tour after the Super Bowl Halftime Show…. It would be amazing timing!!”
Of course, not everyone is as enthusiastic as Gaga’s fans. @Toxlcityy remarked, “Gaga only 2 remembered hits she’s gonna have to do a remix of both Poker Face and Bad Romance for 15 minutes.” And @Wick_Dawg even said the choice of Gaga to perform is “keeping my streak of not watching half time show alive.” But Extreme Entertainment can confidently say millions upon millions will be tuning in when Gaga takes the stage at Houston’s NRG Stadium on February 5, 2017. And we will have full coverage, as always.
