Sunday’s Emmy Telecast To Honor Cory Monteith And James Gandolfini

Sunday’s Emmy awards ceremony will include five special memorial tributes, including one to Cory Monteith.

The 31-year-old Glee star died in July of a heroin and alcohol overdose. He’ll be remembered on the telecast by his co-star Jane Lynch.

The TV academy also announced that Edie Falco will honor James Gandolfini, her co-star on The Sopranos at this year’s ceremony. Gandolfini died of a heart attack in Rome, Italy in June of this year at age 51.
There will be three other tributes planned. Actor/Director Rob Reiner will remember his All in the Family co-star Jean  Stapleton. Robin Williams will honor the late comedian Jonathan Winters and Michael J. Fox will pay tribute toFamily Ties producer Gary David Goldberg.
The TV academy says Sunday’s Emmy ceremony on CBS will still include the traditional “in memoriam” segment recognizing other industry members who have passed away in the last year.
