Cee Lo Green Dropped From Music Festival After Rape Comments

Cee Lo Green has been dropped from the Gretna Heritage Festival in Louisiana in the wake of his recent comments claiming rape doesn’t count if the victim is unconscious.
The former “Voice” star’sshocking tweets on the matter followed his no-contest plea in a case alleging he drugged a woman with ecstasy in 2012 without her consent before having sex with her.
Green later apologized for his rant, but it was not enough for organizers of the Gretna festival, who replaced the would-be headliner with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
In a statement announcing the decision, co-chair Ricky Templet explained, “Our community does not condone these disparaging remarks delivered by Cee Lo Green, and we feel this entertainer does not represent what our festival is about and has achieved over the past 20 years.”
He described the rape comments as “not acceptable.”
