Demi Lovato On Sobriety: “I Wouldn’t Be Alive Today Without” Wilmer Valderrama

Demi Lovato celebrated three years of sobriety on Sunday, and took to Twitter and Instagram to open up about the milestone.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, fans trended “#Demi3YearsSober” and “#Happy3YearsSoberDemi” on Twitter in celebration of Lovato’s accomplishment, and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama paid emotional tribute to her on Instagram. As the clock wound down on her big day, a proud and grateful Lovato admitted in a tweet, “I’m still catching up to texts and congrats tweets.”
“Thank everyone who has supported my journey,” she continued. “I never knew sobriety was possible for me. But with the love and support I’ve been given from my friends, fans, and family… I now celebrate my 3rd birthday. Thank you to everyone.” Lovato added, “I love you all… #3.”
On Instagram, Lovato shared the photo above, and attributed her success to Valderrama. “I wish I could put into words how grateful I am for this man right here. But my love has grown to a level that words could never possibly express how much this man completes me,” she wrote.
Lovato went on, “He’s loved me the way I never thought I deserved to be loved and with this day marking my 3rd year sober… After sharing my ups, putting up with my downs and supporting my recovery… he still never takes credit and I want the world to know how incredible his soul is.”
“I really wouldn’t be alive today without him,” she declared, adding, “I love you Wilmer ♥.” What do you think of Lovato opening up and celebrating her sobriety?
