Jennifer Lawrence says she’s done with the X-Men franchise after her upcoming role in Apocalypse. The actress has played the blue mutant Mystique in three films. While promoting her new movie Serena over the weekend, Lawrence was asked about her future with the X-Men series. She confirmed her exit. Watch the video below.
“It is my last one, actually,” Lawrence told MTV about X-Men: Apocalypse. Lawrence did not elaborate, leaving everyone to speculate whether a rumored Mystique solo film will go forward with another star, or not at all.
As Extreme Entertainment previously reported, Lawrence has been busy promoting Serena with co-star Bradley Cooper. At the Cinema Society event for the film, she revealed the secret to an amazing professional relationship with Cooper is that they don’t have an off-screen romance. Lawrence explained that their “no sex” policy has allowed them to keep everything friendly while on set. The duo has made three movies together, with a fourth on the way.
The actress also gushed about Cooper, saying that she “forced” him to take a role in the film. “I mean, any male role is going to make me think of Bradley because in my opinion, he’s the best, and I love working with him,” she explained. What do you think about Lawrence’s comment that X-Men: Apocalypse will be her last?
