Noah Galloway “Inspired America” On Dancing With The Stars Premiere (VIDEO)

Noah Galloway, a military veteran and double amputee, won the audience and judges alike with his first dance routine during the “Dancing With The Stars” season 20 premiere on Monday. Galloway, who lost his left leg and left arm while serving second a tour of Operation Iraqi Freedom, danced the cha cha with partner Sharna Burgess to OneRepublic’s “I Lived.” When he was done dancing, there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience (video below).
Julianne Hough praised Galloway and Burgess saying, “This is the first time tonight that I seen this kind of connection you need in this competition. It was beautiful.” Bruno Tonioli called Galloway “a titan among men.” A visibly moved Carrie Ann Inaba noted with all sincerity, “It was profound.” She added, “You are broadening my scope of what dance looks like… Thank you!” And Len Goodman expressed, “To come out and dance like that is a major triumph,” before saying that he “inspired the whole of America, I salute you.”
As Extreme Entertainment reported earlier, Galloway, now a personal trainer and motivational speaker, lost left arm and left leg during a second tour of Operation Iraqi Freedom when his Humvee set off a tripwire, which detonated a roadside bomb. While he may not have received the highest score of the night, with a total of 26 out of 40, he certainly earned the most respect. Check out the video of Galloway’s first dance on the season 20 premiere of “Dancing With The Stars,” and tell us what you think.
