Taylor Swift Fan Jalene Salinas Dies Two Weeks After Singer Grants Final Wish

Taylor Swift’s young fan, Jalene Salinas, died two weeks after the “Blank Space” singer granted her final bucket list wish. Salinas’ mother announced Monday morning on Facebook that the four-year-old girl passed away Sunday evening after a year-long battle with terminal brain cancer.
“On March 15, 2015 Jalene gained her beautiful angel wings. She fought all the way to the end. She beat cancer defying the hours and days we were told. She went to be with our Lord in his time,” Jennifer Arriagas wrote. “Jalene was a true princess and I made sure to have her glass slippers by her side. I have to say that Jalene loved her siblings and at the end she was waiting for her little brother to say goodbye before taking her last breath,” she added.
“Team Jalene thank you for being a part of her journey. This is not over because Jalene will live on in the heart of everyone. We will continue to spread her kind hearted nature,” Arriagas continued. As Extreme Entertainment reported, Salinas had wrote on her bucket list that she wanted to dance with Swift to her song “Shake It Off.” Sadly, the young girl was too ill for a meet-and-greet with the singer, but did get to chat with Swift via a 20-minute FaceTime call on March 2.
