Rihanna teases a new song from her forthcoming album, tentatively titled R8, in her new Dior “Secret Garden” ad. The minute-long clip features a snippet of “A Night” playing in the background as the soundtrack. Watch the video below.
The song was produced by Midas, and will reportedly be the opener on Rihanna’s new album. The track fits perfectly with Rihanna’s dark and moody Dior ad. As the singer seductively walks up a flight of stairs in a long red dress, the beat to “A Night” kicks in and continues to play throughout the remainder of the video. But the part showcased in the ad doesn’t include any of Rihanna’s vocals, and sampled Florence & The Machine’s 2011 song “Only If For A Night.” Rihanna reportedly collaborated with Welch on her own version.
As Extreme Entertainment previously reported, Rihanna has debuted several other songs from her upcoming album, but has yet to announce a release date. In April, to commemorate the “weed holiday” 4/20, she dropped an interlude titled “James Joint,” in which she sang about her love of smoking and getting high. Rihanna’s other recent R8 tracks include “American Oxygen,” “B*tch Better Have My Money,” and “FourFiveSeconds.” Check out Rihanna’s new Dior ad below, and tell us what you think.
