Jennifer Lopez To Host American Music Awards

Jennifer Lopez will host the 2015 American Music Awards, it was announced on Wednesday.
This will mark Lopez’s first time ever hosting an awards show. And she’ll be pulling double duty. In addition to hosting, the superstar will also be one of the performers.
Lopez’s performance will serve as a teaser for her upcoming Las Vegas residency, “All I Have,” which begins in January. “JLo is one of the most influential artists in music history, and the triple-threat will take
on the role as host of a live broadcast award show,” say ABC and Dick Clark Productions in a joint release.
Lopez is stepping in for Pitbull, who hosted for the last two years. To celebrate the news, Lopez tweeted a number of photos of herself at the AMAs through the years, writing, “From my first @TheAMAs nomination 15 years ago to HOSTING the 2015 #AMAs! It’s going down 11/22 on ABC!!” The singer-actress also participated in last year’s show, performing “Booty” with Iggy Azalea.
The nominations for this year’s awards will be announced by Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday. The AMAs reward musicians of all genres, with Artist of the Year being the top category. Nominees are based on “key fan interactions,” such as album sales, touring, and social media, as measured by Billboard
The 2015 American Music Awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and air live on November 22. Extreme Entertainment will have full coverage. TELL US: What do you think of Lopez hosting the AMAs?
