Jim Carrey did NOT cheat on his late girlfriend Cathriona White, who tragically committed suicide last week at the age of 28, despite a fabricated tabloid report. Extreme Entertainment can correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
As Extreme Entertainment reported, White was found dead in her Los Angeles home last week due to a suspected intentional drug overdose. Now, according to Star, one of the factors that may have led to White taking her own life was her suspicion that Carrey was messing around behind her back. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, White felt “it was never just about them, that she always had the feeling Jim was seeing other women without her knowing.”
Extreme Entertainment checked in with a rep for Carrey who assures us that this mean-spirited story is simply “not true.” The comedy superstar never cheated on his girlfriend, despite Star’s attempt to take advantage of her death with a sensationalized report. Carrey, we’re told, is “devastated” by White’s death, and to try and pin the blame on him is a particularly low-blow, even by the tabloid’s standards.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, Carrey released a statement less than two hours after news of White’s death broke, expressing that he was “shocked and deeply saddened” by her passing. The comedian went on to describe her as a “truly kind and delicate Irish flower,” adding, “My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her.”
