John Stamos had the date rape drug, GHB, in his system when he was arrested in June, and is going to be charged for driving under the influence of it, according to a new report. Stamos, who was getting ready at the time to film both “Fuller House” and his new show “Grandfathered,” supposedly was taking GHB because it’s often also used for weight loss as well as helping one sleep.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, Stamos was arrested on June 12 for driving under the influence after several other motorists called 911 about his silver Mercedes swerving in Beverly Hills. When he was initially picked up, the police thought he having some sort of medical situation, and so paramedics were called and Stamos was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital.
Once there, it was determined he was driving under the influence and arrested. In addition to GHB, another legal drug was apparently found in his system, reports TMZ. The D.A. is set to file charges soon against Stamos.
As Extreme Entertainment noted at the time, shortly after his arrest, Stamos checked into rehab for substance abuse. After completing a 30-day program, Stamos tweeted, “I’m back! Took a month to take care of things. Healthy.”
Stamos has not commented on the news he’ll be charged with driving under the influence of GHB when he was arrested in June.
