Rosie O’Donnell Calls Daughter Chelsea’s Daily Mail Interview “Heartbreaking”

Rosie O’Donnell has responded to her daughter Chelsea’s controversial interview with the Daily Mail in which the 18-year-old bashed her famous mother as a “phony,” and alleged O’Donnell is a completely different person at home than she appears to be in the public eye.
A rep for Rosie tells Extreme Entertainment that the actress and TV personality feels Chelsea’s comments are “heartbreaking on every level.” One of these “heartbreaking” remarks includes Chelsea’s accusation that Rosie bought their neighbors house, transformed it into an arts-and-crafts studio, and would all day seclude herself in there allegedly to smoke weed and paint. Chelsea went on to claim she was “pretty much raised by nannies,” as a result of O’Donnell allegedly being a neglectful and distant mother. She added, “I never felt connected to [O’Donnell] and I never really enjoyed being around her.”
As Extreme Entertainment reported, Chelsea ran away from the family’s Nyack, New York home in August. She was found about 100 miles away one week later with a convicted drug offender named Steven Sheerer, who she had met on Tinder. At the time, O’Donnell said the teen suffered from mental illness and had stopped taking her medication. Chelsea, however, told the British tabloid she never ran away, but that O’Donnell kicked her out of the house.

Chelsea is currently living with Sheerer and his family in New Jersey, but says she plans on moving with him to Wisconsin, where her biological mother Deanna Micoley resides.
