Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt NOT Adopting Seventh Child From Cambodia, Despite Report

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not secretly adopting a seventh child from Cambodia, despite a new report. A Cambodian official is shooting down the rumor, which began on a webloid this week. The government official says the claim is untrue.
According to RadarOnline, Jolie has “taken a baby boy from Cambodia named Allouy Shoun” into her care. The webloid says he’s one of 13 children from a family that lives in the impoverished region where Jolie had been directing the movie First They Killed My Father. What’s more, alleges a so-called “source” for the site, Jolie’s adoption was done like a “secret military operation,” without even Pitt knowing because supposedly she “knew he’d throw a fit.”
The webloid details how Jolie has lavished the Shoun family with gifts, and claims she’ll give them $1 million to “support the family and to adopt baby Allouy.” And while it’s true that Jolie previously adopted Maddox from Cambodia and has been generous with the Shouns, she is not buying or “adopting” their son Allouy.
Cambodia’s Ministry of Social Affairs denied on Wednesday the adoption “rumor.” Sao Samphois, a spokesperson for the ministry’s Inter-Country Adoption Administration, noted that not only haven’t Pitt and Jolie even been in contact with the govenment agency but they also cannot legally adopt another child from Cambodia, as a result of a 2001 agreement that bars international adoptions because of trafficking fears.
