Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy danced a jazz routine to Coldplay’s “Adventure Of A Lifetime” for her redemption dance during the finals of “Dancing With The Stars.” Watch the video below.
Last week during the semifinals, Zee danced well, but didn’t receive any perfect scores unlike her competitors, Paige VanZant and Nyle DiMarco. Still, the judges liked the meteorologist’s trio with Chmerkovskiy and Artem Chigvintsev, as well as her quickstep routine. About her paso doble for the trio, Len Goodman praised Zee for her “attack” and “commitment.” And Bruno Tonioli called Zee’s quickstep “superb.” For that dance, she received a near perfect score of 29 out of a total 30 points. Regardless of the judges’ scores, Zee has been one of the fans’ favorites from the beginning of this season of “Dancing With The Stars.”
For her redemption dance, Goodman said that he saw “much more confidence” from when she first performed that number. “I loved it,” he added. Carrie Ann Inaba also “really loved it.” And Tonioli called her redemption jazz routine a “greatest hits remastered,” noting everything was “much, much better” this time around.
Zee and Chmerkovskiy’s performance to Coldplay’s “Adventure Of A Lifetime” earned them 28 out of 30 points. Check out the video below of Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy’s performance during the finals. Video will be up shortly.
