Robert Pattinson did NOT come out as gay in a new interview, despite a hoax article from a website featuring many fake news stories. Extreme Entertainment can help bust the claim.
The site Now88News purports to have conducted an interview with the actor in which he allegedly admitted to having a secret romance with a male model named Brad Owens. “I completely fell for this guy and at first I thought I was confused with my emotions and I did not want to let my female fans down,” reads a phony quote the site falsely attributes to Pattinson. The outlet further claims the actor said, “But after careful consideration, I felt it was best to come out to the public and confirm that I am gay.”
The quotes supposedly from Pattinson are completely made-up, and the actor never sat down for an interview with Now88News, a site that has also created death hoaxes about Jaden Smith, Miley Cyrus, and others. The outlet goes on to make the baseless claim Gay Times magazine has offered Pattinson “a multi-million dollar modeling contract,” but there’s simply no truth to that either. Extreme Entertainment is assured by a reliable source close to the actor that the site’s entire article is a complete hoax.
