Pink was the hue of the day on Saturday as the expectant parents were feted at a shower hosted by All My Children executive producer Julie Carruthers at her Hollywood Hills home. "It was lovely," one guest told PEOPLE.
"With all of the wonderful gifts we received at the baby shower, my man cave dreams are out the window," Martinez told PEOPLE after the event.
Forty guests were on hand to watch the couple open gifts, which included plenty of pink clothes, a new bassinet and stroller. Added Martinez: "We are really excited to see her wear all of the clothes she received, especially the dance dress that I can picture myself teaching her the Samba in."
Martinez, 28, won the DWTS mirror ball trophy in November. A month later, the Iraq war vet and All My Children actor announced he was expecting a baby due this May.
