LeAnn Rimes is slamming the National Enquirer and OK! for continuing to pump out false stories about her marriage to Eddie Cibrian.
The country star took to Twitter on Thursday to mock the tabloids’ sensational stories.
“If you combine OK! Magazine and The National Enquirer’s stories that they’re ‘investigating’ this week you get… Eddie doesn’t want to have kids with me so he’s been cheating on me since April & we’re headed for that 50 million dollar divorce we were gonna go through almost a year ago,” wrote Rimes.
She added, “I’m sure there’s aliens involved in it too, but we only get told bits and pieces #nextweekstabloids #there’syourquoteforyourdeadline #bothownedbythesamecompany #synergy #alwaysintheknow #thatwasfun.”
When one Twitter user jokingly asked Rimes to comment about the “breaking news” that Cibrian bought her a Pilates studio and they are having an alien baby, she humorously played along.
“He likes to do it on the reformer,” she tweeted back. “We heard you conceive alien babies that way. He’s such a giving husband.”
Rimes has a right to be annoyed.
The National Enquirer is the same outlet that falsely reported she was trying to get full custody of Cibrian’s sons, incorrectly claimed she was too “fat” to wear her engagement ring, and fabricated a story the canceled a tour because she was afraid of her husband cheating on her.
