Gigi Hadid referred to Zayn Malik as her “boyfriend” just one day after numerous media outlets reported that the couple had broken up. The model’s comment, however, seemingly confirms that the two are still very much together.
Extreme Entertainment has corrected many false breakup reports about the couple during their seven-month relationship, but the pair’s status became murky earlier this week with various outlet’s telling different stories about a possible split. But on Friday, Hadid attended Maybelline New York’s Beauty Bash at L.A.’s Line Hotel, where she divulged something quite interesting during an interview with Elle. Describing her ideal “night in,” the model said, “Cook. Paint. Play with my dog. Hang out with my boyfriend. Watch movies. Just chill.”
And in addition to calling Malik her “boyfriend,” Hadid has added even more fuel to the theory that she and the singer are either back together or never split in the first place. The model was spotted in Los Angeles this weekend wearing her “Z” for Zayn necklace, and later that same night, she posted a Snachap video of herself singing along to Malik’s song “Pillowtalk,” for which she appears in the music video.
We have reached out to reps for both Hadid and Malik to get more clarification about the status of their relationship, but have yet to hear back.
