Kesha called out an Instagram commenter late Friday after she was allegedly called a “whore.” See photo below.
Along with a photo of herself bending over in the ocean, Kesha wrote, “Dear @jackknife76, I see that you would very much like me to know that you think I’m ugly, and also a ‘whore.’ well, I understand that that is your opinion, but I disagree. I’m not perfect but I’m pretty f*cking magical.”
“And also, I am not, in fact, a whore,” the singer continued. “Also bullying someone who has struggled publicly with body issues is pretty mean. thank god I’m in a place in my life where I feel empowered to address your nasty comments instead of letting them destroy me. so. on behalf of anyone anywhere who struggles with body image, STOP IT. my body is not your business.”
Kesha, who went to rehab for an eating disorder, added at the end, “In conclusion, kiss my magical imperfect ass.” It’s unclear when @jackknife76 posted the comment that earned her ire. His Instagram account is currently set to private, but it’s unknown if that was done before or after Kesha called him out.
The remarks seemed to go over well with the performer’s own fans, who replied with comments like “SLAY QUEEN” and “Go Kesha!!!” Another supporter also wrote, “It is so good to see a celebrity that is not frightened to be real and honest.
