Taylor Swift did NOT cause Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s split, despite a ridiculous report. Extreme Entertainment can bust what is truly a stupid story.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, it was revealed Swift and boyfriend Calvin Harris called it quits earlier this week. And after several false breakup reports in the tabloids, Hadid and Malik ultimately ended their romance, too. But while it’s believed they may get back together, Star is running this outrageous headline: “Squad Scare! 7 Reasons Taylor Swift Could Have Caused BFF Gigi Hadid & Zayn’s Malik’s Sudden Split.”
The tabloid writes on its website, “Did Gigi ditch Zayn because of Taylor and Calvin’s split? Her squad demands exposed!” The accompanying story states, “Dudes who date Taylor sometimes get dissed in a song, but her galpals can have it pretty rough too.” And then a so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “She’s a mean girl.”
“It’s her way or the highway, and if you don’t measure up, you can’t be her friend. It’s high school cattiness,” continues the supposed source. And since Swift allegedly has a “tendency to run the show with buddies,” Star makes a tremendous leap and speculates the singer is behind Hadid’s breakup. Of course, the outlet has no actual proof to back up its bold implication, and resorts to asking readers, “Do you think Taylor had something to do with Gigi and Zayn’s breakup less than 24 hours after her own breakup?”
Uh, no. Hadid was NOT “forced to pull the plug for her BFF.” Swift’s relationship with Harris coming to an end has nothing to do with Hadid and Malik taking a break. Star merely wanted to combine the two events with a sensational spin, regardless of a lack of evidence.
The disregard for accuracy isn’t surprising given that this is the same magazine that falsely said Hadid and Malik were engaged in April. And let’s not forget the tabloid’s 2014 story that said Swift was “falling in love” with Karlie Kloss. Clearly, Star still doesn’t know much about stars… and doesn’t care to.
