The Miss USA 2016 pageant is taking place on Sunday from the T-Mobile Arena at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and Extreme Entertainment has a live stream. The annual competition is airing on FOX. Contestants from all 50 states and Washington DC, as well as Miss 52 USA, a winner from a nationwide search, will compete for the crown in evening gown, swimsuit, and interview categories. The 65th annual Miss USA Competition is being hosted by Julianne Hough and Terrence J. Jenkins, and Ashley Graham is providing backstage commentary. Set to perform during the pageant are the Backstreet Boys and Chris Young. And the judges for 2016 Miss USA competition are Ali Landry, Miss USA 2008 Crystal Stewart, Harper’s Bazaar executive editor Laura Brown, and Yahoo Style editor Joe Zee.
So far, this year’s competition has not been plagued by controversy. As Extreme Entertainment reported, one month before the 2015 pageant, NBC cut its ties with Donald Trump, who used to own the Miss USA competition after he called some Mexican immigrants “criminals” and “rapists” when announcing his intention to run for president. Eventually, after changes to the hosts, judges and performers, who quit in protest, the Miss USA pageant went off without a hitch on the Reelz network.
