Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have split, Extreme Entertainment confirms. We’re told there was nothing dramatic or scandalous that led to the breakup.
While there were numerous inaccurate reports that the couple had broken up throughout their 15-month relationship, now it is true that they have gone their separate ways. Just two months ago, as Extreme Entertainment reported, Harris and Swift celebrated their one-year anniversary with a tropical vacation together. At the time, they shared pictures that showed the singer and the EDM DJ locking lips on a beach, as well as their initials scrawled in its sand.
During their time together, Extreme Entertainment busted a slew of false stories about Swift and Harris being on the verge of getting married and having a baby. Back in September 2015, we corrected an inaccurate OK! story that claimed Harris was buying Swift a $1.4 million engagement ring, and that they were going to exchange vows in a $2 million ceremony in England. That was followed by a wrong report Extreme Entertainment debunked in November, courtesy of In Touch, that alleged Harris and Swift were going to have a “huge, over-the-top” wedding in the U.K., followed by a more subdued second set of nuptials in “either Nashville or LA.” And shortly before they happily celebrated their one-year anniversary in the tropics, the National Enquirer inaccurately claimed Swift had given Harris a “wedding ultimatum.”
In the end, we’re told, Swift and Harris’ relationship simply just didn’t work out. Sadly, Extreme Entertainment is sure that a slew of unreliable outlets will now make up a number of “exclusives,” claiming to have the supposed real story behind Swift and Harris’ breakup. And we’ll be here to bust those phony reports.
