Zac Efron’s friends aren’t annoyed with the actor because he’s supposedly unhealthily “obsessed” with his muscles and working out, despite a false tabloid report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
Efron recently put on a significant amount of muscle mass for his role in the upcoming Baywatch movie, and now according to OK!, physical fitness has completely taken over the actor’s life. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “He’s become obsessed with the 1,000 push-ups he does every day. He has to do 300 before he can even start his morning. He’s completely fixated on his muscles.”
The magazine’s dubious insider further claims that when Efron isn’t hitting the gym, “he’s talking about working out,” and supposedly “weighs himself constantly, and he even carries a tape measure around so he can measure his chest and waist in front of people.” The outlet’s seemingly phony source also alleges that Efron’s so-called addiction to exercise led to his breakup with Sami Morio. “He became a complete bore, and it was affecting their relationship,” claims the tabloid’s “insider.”
But Extreme Entertainment checked in with a source close to Efron, who assures us the actor’s workout routine isn’t negatively interfering with his life or relationships in any way. We’re exclusively told the tabloid’s story is simply “not true.” Similarly untrue was OK!’s false claim that the actor was in negotiations to star in a Lethal Weapon remake. Perhaps the outlet should find more reliable Efron sources.
