On this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Miami, Alexia Echevarria gets bullied by the mean girls at a gay polo match in Palm Beach.
It’s the night of Lea Black’s annual gala for her children’s charity and the war of the diva’s as the ousted Latin ladies, Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton and Ana Quincoces invite Alexia to ditch the event and go on a party bus for a fabulous day of gay polo.
Alexia is feeling quite sick with a bad cold, but she joins them anyway and is very nervous to admit the truth, which is that she and her husband Herman actually will be attending Lea’s gala later that evening and while the ladies all bash the event all afternoon, Alexia sits by nervous and quiet until she finally confesses once the polo event ends that she won’t be getting back on the party bus because her husband has a car

Once she confesses, it looked like a scene straight out of high school with the Cuban mafia pressuring her to hate on somebody else. “Whose side are you on?” they all demanded to know and alternately shrieked and stomped their stilettoed feet. “You guys need to grow up because it’s not about winning or losing,” Alexia says shocked by how violent they reacted as she storms off the bus.

We see Alexia going home and actually attempting to get ready, but then she has a change of heart and sits on her bed in her bathrobe and calls Lea to leave a voice message in her sickest voice that she will not be able to attend the event after all.

Alexia defends her decision in her blog, “Let me start by saying that I didn’t go to Lea’s gala because I was very sick, and that’s the truth. I think Lea believes that and knows it in her heart.” She goes on to write, “It’s so uncomfortable to be in this position. I want to be friends with both sides like I’ve been until now. I don’t feel I have to take sides — this is not a trial and I am not a juror. I have nothing to do with their problems, and I’m getting tired of it. I have my own problems, which are much more important than theirs for that matter.”
